Liberty Park

Liberty Park is a great park for not only us, but the doggies too! We all headed over there to feed the ducks and eat some lunch on an afternoon we thought was sunny. It turned out to be sooo cold. Don't be fooled by the lack of snow. When we thought we were just about finished we headed back to the car, threw our stuff in, and planned on heading on a short walk before taking off. After I threw in the diaper bag Kyle locked and shut the door. Oops. He also threw the keys on the seat.

We walked over to the park and took advantage of the fact there was no snow. It had been so long since Jillian had played at a park. She was all smiles.

Aunt Aly came down and saved us from the cold while we waited for a tow guy to open up the car. We got the dankest street tacos, too. They were cheap and oh so good! Thanks for being our Angel Aly!

Similar?

Is it me, or does little Kyle look really similar to my friend Jenn's son Ezra?

Help

Kyle's mom flew in once we were home from the hospital to help out. Diane was so excited to meet our new little guy. She stayed for a few days cooking and freezing meals for us. She cooked her little heart out while taking care of an especially grumpy Jillian. Diane, aka Nana, was a huge help! We are so grateful and STILL enjoying the mouthwatering good meals. Thanks!
While Diane was here Jillian was suddenly ready to hold the baby. She hasn't wanted to stop since. I love it.

Labor and Delivery

Thirty9 weeks preggo

We arrived at the hospital around 12 am Thursday only to find out I was only dialated to a 4. I thought I was at least at a 6 because I was in so much more pain than when we got to the hospital to deliver Jillian, and I was at a 7 with her. Isn't the second supposed to be easier? We waited 45 min to see if there would be changes. None. They told me to walk around for 45 more minutes and see if anything would happen or go home. So we walked around. Within those last 45 minutes I got to a 6 and things went pretty fast after that. Thank goodness we did not go home. My sister Alyson came and joined at the hospital and pretty much slept through the whole thing. Which is really good because we didn't want to worry about her going into a seizure or anything!

Although labor was more painful the second time, it was faster. We had to get little Manny out as soon as possible because his heart rate kept dropping and the doctor and nurses were worried. He made it out in about ten minutes!

Kyle kinda forgot how to change diapers and I got a hoot out of watching!

My dad came to visit a few times at the hospital and had "sleepovers" with Jillian. Thanks for all the help!

We had such a great experience at the hospital. Great view, privacy, food, and the people were Oh So Nice :) We even got hugs when we left.

The tired parents on our way out!

Jillian was not able to visit us in the hospital because of the swine flu, but she was excited to see us when we got home. She wasn't quite ready to hold her new brother, but was happy to see him.

Happy Groundhog Day!

Tradition states that one must observe a groundhog’s burrow on this day. If the groundhog emerges and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end; however, if the groundhog sees its shadow because the weather is bright and clear, it will be frightened and run back into its hole, and the winter will continue for six more weeks.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Happy first day of February. The due date has just about come to an end with no baby. I am just waiting. Trying to do it patiently.

p.s. The Rite Aid here does not have Thrifty's ice cream. No Chocolate Malted Crunch for me
