60 years and going

We were so glad to have the opportunity to head to Long Island for Kyle's Nana and Grandpa's 6oth Anniversary! They had a party to celebrate. There was food, music, dancing, the works!

At the end of our trip Kyle and I asked what they think the secret is. They both agreed on compromise. Kyle's grandparents went on to give examples. They were avid fliers, but as they got older Nana started to get worried about their safety in the air. She decided she was done after having lost a few friends in flight and encountering some sticky situations. Kyle's Grandpa went on to say since she didn't want to fly, he wouldn't. When we asked why, his response was something along the lines of:

"She's my honey bunch, we do everything together!"

Anniversary

Kyle and I had our anniversary in May and weren't able to do too much to celebrate since it was such a busy crazy month. Despite the craziness Kyle managed to make it special and sweet. Here is something he gave me...

Something For You on our Anniversary:

Every sky's a brand new sky,
Uncanny once again;
And every kiss, a brand new kiss,
New one, no matter when.

And every love, a brand new love,
New cherished every day;
Though lips and heart may slowly age,
The awe-struck boy will stay.

And I will vow again to love
You each day of my life,
As though each morning were the first
We rose as man and wife.

Just as a meadow washed by rain
Is relit by the dawn,
Just so our love, as we grow old,
Will each day be reborn.

I love you!

Happy Anniversary Babe!

Love,

Husband

I am so blessed to be with such an awesome guy. Our path so far has been full of surprises and I can't wait to see what else is in store for us. It is magical to be able to share your life and dreams with the one person you love most. Having a family together and being our own little unit is so sacred to me and indescribably fulfilling. I love you hubs! Thanks for being my man!

I thought it might be fun to throw in some old, super crazy dating pics.

Kyle's Graduation!

Mr. Kyle Roberts is indeed a graduate! On the twenty - second of May Kyle received a dual bachelor's degree in Computer Networks and Network Security.
Both my family and Kyle's made an effort to be there for him on his big day to show how proud they are of his achievement.

Kyle's Dad & Mom, without whom none of it would have been possible.
Thanks!

Jillian was scared of the cap claiming Daddy was a pirate "captor"
AKA captain

Couldn't hold back the excitement! I am enormously proud of you, Kyle. You were a full time student, full time employee, full time dad, and full time husband. How you did it I may never know. What a relief it is to have it all be over. One of the many trials we will be so glad to see behind us. Thank you for staying up all those late nights and sacrificing so many things. You make it all possible.

I want to give a special thanks to my family for taking the time away from their crazy lives to drive the 10 hours to make it. It really meant the world to have you there and I know Kyle couldn't have asked for more. We can't thank you enough.

After the ceremony we headed over to P.F. Chang's for some yummy grub!

As a graduation gift my Dad and Karey treated us to a Padre game. It was a blast. Jillian loved the coaster ride there.

We headed over to State after eating at Fidel's on my families' last night. Of course the crazy drunk juggler dude was there. Just as we were about to leave, he pulled up my Dad. He was a great sport.

Boston

Here is my attempt to FINALLY update our blog! It has been so long because yes I lag, but also because the next thing to post is Brian's graduation from Law School! I unfortunately was unable to attend, therefore don't have much to say about the ceremony or Boston...
But, I can say this:
Congrats Brian! We are so proud of all your hard work and accomplishments. This is just this beginning.

P.S.
I also do not obtain any pictures... I know I suck. This post will be updated shortly. Consider it a rough draft.
